Hamburger, hot dog or veggie dog

I would have to say between the three I would have to say that I would choose a hamburger. I have never tried a veggie dog. I do not think that I would like to anyways. They are not made of anything that I would recognize. I also then would not choose a hot dog. I do not like hot dogs and I think it is has something to do with their taste. When I was little I would only eat hot dogs and Mac and cheese. I soon got sick of eating them and to this day I cannot eat either one of them. I have always like hamburgers so I would have to choose that. It does not matter what is one it as long as there is a bun and ketchup. However, I do not like mustard so I would not put that on my hamburger. Over all I would choose a hamburger out of the three.

Waffles or pancakes

Waffles or pancakes is a hard question because I like them both. I like pancakes because they are nice and fluffy and easy to eat. Waffles on the other hand are crispier but still soft enough to eat. I love them both it would be hard for me to choose between the two. On mornings when we have nothing going on my parents will make a good breakfast. They always make both because my sister and I can never decide which one we want more. I do know however know what they would be served with and that is strawberries. I love strawberries and when you add them to the top of pancakes or waffles it just makes it that much better. I love both waffles and pancakes and that is why I would have to choose both.

Brand name vs. Generic

To me it does not matter where it is generic or the brand name. For me I get whatever is cheaper because I cannot tell the difference between the two. For food there is no difference it is the same thing. However, you can tell the difference between fat free and the original. It does not matter to me for clothes. I find what fits and looks cute. I do not go to a specific store just to buy their clothes. But I do shop more at American Eagle just because their jeans fit me better than most stores. I do make an exception when it comes to medication. From my experience I think that the brand name works faster. The generic does work but it takes a lot longer for it to work. When I am sick I want to get better right away so I do take the brand name medication. Other than medication, generic and brand names do not matter to me.

When I was not happy

At the time, I was not happy but now I am okay with how things turned out. Every time I and my family try to go visit our friends in England, something always goes wrong. The first time that we planned a trip my dad called every day to make sure that our tickets were correct and that we were sitting together. Well when we got to the airport, the person at the front desk said we had no tickets. We were booked for the flight but we had no tickets. My sister and I were not every happy. We were looking forward to seeing our friends. In the end we got the tickets and we arrived in England safe. The second time was just as bad, but we ended up going. Both times I was not happy but everything turned out alright in the end.

Why I want this semester to be over

I am looking forward to the semester beginning over so that I can go home and not have to worry about homework or classes for awhile. I love school but I am human and need a break. This summer I know that I am going to have to work but I will not have the stress of school with me. Plus I am really looking forward to this summer and spending time at our lake house. We bought a brand new pontoon and I cannot wait to get it out on the water. Plus jet skiing is a lot of fun. I love going to our lake house because it allows me to have fun with my family. That is why I am looking forward to this semester being over.

Moral to a story

Have you ever been thinking about an answer to the question and never really got the answer until someone else said it, and then you’re like “duh, I knew that”. My family has a saying for when something like that happens. It is “Who built the beaver dam”? This all come from my mom was little and when my grandpa came back one day from looking the cows over in the pasture. Well there was not a lot of water running from the top of the river and that was because the beavers had built some dams. When my grandpa got back from the river, he was cussing out the dams. My mom’s aunt asks “Well who built the beaver dam”? From what the story goes everybody just stops and looks at her like if she seriously asked that question. My aunt not realizing what happened, say innocently “The beaver.” The moral to the story is the answer is a simple as a beaver and not to look too hard for it.

Why you should stay off line

I think why people should stay off line is that you are never sure what is out there. For young children it can be a dangerous place. There are people out there trying to take advantage of the children. You hear in the news that a little kid was killed by someone who they met on line. Other times people will steal your identity. Both of these can be very harmful to all the people involved. For me I am not to worried about it for my sake but I am worried about it for my sister. She can be trusting at times and I know that eventually it is going to hurt her. The problem that I have with the internet is that I get way to distracted during class. This is especially true in my math class. I just get on and I cannot get off. For me it is addicting.

A book you should really read

A book that everybody should read is The Truth About Forever. It is my all time favorite books. I have read it over and over. Every time that I read it I find something new about it. It is about a girl who witnesses her dad’s death and her growing up with her mom. She never sees her mom and how she takes on a new job and having to deal with relationships. When I first read it I thought it was all about this girl but then as I was reading I found that there is a bigger meaning to the book. It speaks about forever and how we should live each moment. I love when books have a story but then you find out that there is a message. That is why I believe that everyone should read The Truth About Forever.

A Place That I Would Like To Visit

A place that I would really love to visit would be New York. I have always been fascinated by the tall buildings and Time Square. It looks like a nice place to be. When I go there I would really love to see Rent on Broadway. I love musicals, partly because I was in all of them in high school. Rent is my all time favorite musical, so I would love to see it on stage. I think it would be just wonderful if I could. If I could not see Rent the other one would have to be Hairspray. I am really into watching that musical right now. I watch either one every night. They seem to be complete opposites but they are interesting and they keep my focus through the entire movie. I would love to see either one on Broadway. That would be my main reason to visit New York but the other would be to sight see and to shop.

My Favorite Pie

My favorite pie would be apple. It is the most commonly know pie but the best tasting. I especially enjoy it with it just comes out of the oven and it is still nice and warm. It just seems to melt in your mouth. There are many ways out there to make apple pie but I think the best is when my grandma makes it. The crust it just crumbly enough so that it is not rock hard but yet it does not fall apart. The center is just the right gooey. There is enough apples to fill you up but there is still a fill to it that makes it seem to come together. Apple pie also leaves the best after taste in your mouth, unlike pumpkin pie. The smell of apple pie when it is baking is just heavenly. That is why my favorite pie is apple.

Farthest Place I Have Been

The farthest place that I have been is England. I have been there twice with my family. The first time was when I was in the eighth grade, then again in the tenth. Both times we stayed our friends who live there. I love England. I think it is one of the most beautiful places, especially when you get into the country side. When I was over there I had the change to visit many different sights. A couple where York, Annick castle (where the Harry Potters movies are filmed), and Newcastle. My favorite place though would have to be Holy Island. You can only reach the Island when the tide is out. If you do not leave before the tide comes in then you are stuck on the Island at night. The island is tiny but there is a lot to. Little shops sit down in the country side while a castle sits on top of the hill. Along with going to all these places, we still had time to take in a football (our soccer) game. There is so much to see and do in England, that is why it is one of my favorite places.

My Favorite Gift I Recieived

A favorite gift I have received would have to be my teddy bear. Nineteen years ago when I was eight months old, I had to have surgery. It was a huge and important surgery. My soft spot prematurely closed, which means half of my head was growing and the other half was not. They had to go in a break the bones in my head. It was an eight hour surgery, but I was going to be okay. When I came out of surgery I could not see. My mom’s work gave me flowers and a teddy bear. The bear had a tag on it and from what my mom told me, I would twist the tag. I would only play with that teddy bear from what I am told. I still have my teddy with me.

Jokes

I love jokes. I do not have a favorite one joke because all my family does is tell jokes. We could be in the worst mood ever but still laugh and tell jokes. Our family gatherings are a blast. My cousins from Colorado can make you laugh until you cry. They are nothing in particular but just in normal conversation. We will be going along talking then if you say something and my cousin will come back with a joke and then you say a joke, it goes back and forth for forever. I have the best memories from these conversations. Sometimes we tell normal jokes at the table but that is rare. I think that it is more fun to just come up with them at the top of your head and in that moment, it just makes it more special.

Snow

Snow is a nuisance after January. I do not like snow at all, so when it continues into April I tend to hate it. Snow is fun to have around for Christmas but it needs to stop. By April it is spring, the trees need to bloom along with the flowers. That is not possible if it is still snowing. I do not want to be shoveling in the middle of March. When it gets later in the year it tends to be a wet snow which makes it harder to shovel. The snow is all compacted down and it is hard to get under and scoop it out, plus when it starts to melt it makes it even heavier to lift the water and the snow.

The Persont That I Admire the Most

There are so many people that I admire it is hard to choose just one. The person that I admire the most is my grandma. She died about four years ago on Thanksgiving. She had Ovarian Cancer. It was a sad when we found out, but she just kept going like it was no big thing. She defeated the cancer two time before it killed her. She was a strong person. I have never had cancer, and hope to not because I did see what it does to a person. I can see where it would really bring down a person. But my grandma just kept going. She was trying so hard to make it through Thanksgiving. She did not want it to be a bad Thanksgiving for us. No matter how much she tried it was not the best. She was home from the hospital because she wanted to be home. She was in a bed in the living room. It was hard because she could not eat so we all eat at different shifts so that she would not smell the food. After lunch me an my sister left to go to our other grandma’s. Later that night we got the phone call. It was a sad time. She was just an amazing person, who loved everyone.

How To Play Soccer

I can teach almost anybody how to play soccer. When I was little I wanted to play a sport. I had tried everything you can think of but I never really fell in love with a sport but when I played soccer I fell head over heels in love with the sport. I played soccer for 12 years of my life. I was on many teams before I was placed on this great team. We where unstoppable. We were the team to beat. From being on that team I lived and breathed soccer. I knew everything about it. I even knew what professional players where on what team. When I first started my parents did not know anything about the sport, so I had to teach them. Soccer was the best thing that happened to me. It became a family sport, and now it is the only sport that I know. That is why I can teach anybody how to play soccer or wants to know about the sport.

Advice For the Discouraged

My advice for the discouraged is to stick with it and keep going. I know that sometimes life can become overwhelming but you cannot just give up. It may not seem like it at the time but everything will get better. When I am so bombarded with homework all I want to do is curl up in my bed and watch a good movie. Then we I talk to my mom or dad they encourage to finish my homework. Most of the time when I take their advice and I do finish I feel a lot more free and happy. I never thought that when I was talking to my mom or dad that I would ever get done but once I did I realized that I just had to stick with it and get through it. So that is my advice to people who are going through a hard time, just stick with it and everything in the end will be okay. That is a quote that I remember reading on facebook, Everything will be okay in the end, if it’s not okay, then it’s not the end.

Decorating Easter Eggs

I love to decorate Easter eggs. Easter is my favorite holiday. One of the many things that I enjoy doing during Easter vacation is decorate Easter eggs. My sister complains that it takes too long to dye the egg, but I like to listen to music while I am dyeing mine. The time seems to go faster when you are concentrating on getting the perfect color. Most of the time I dye two sets of eggs. One with my dad and the other with my grandma. Both of them are very picky on how long they want the eggs in the dye. That is why my sister complains that it takes too long, but I enjoy just sitting there and spending time with my dad and grandma. My grandma likes to tell stories of when she was little and how they liked to dye the eggs. These are the many reasons that I like to dye Easter eggs.

My Mom Makes the Best ________

My mom makes the best pancakes. My dad is the chief in the family, so my mom really does not bake anything. When she does I think between my parents my mom makes the best pancakes. They are just right. Smooth and blended just right. Whereas my dad his are chunky and not the best in the world. My mom also makes the best goo losh in the world. She makes it two different ways. One is in the pan and one in the crock pot. The pan is the best because the noodles are just cooked right, on the other hand if she cooks it in the crock pot the noodles are too soft and they fall apart too easily. My dad does not even know how to make goo losh, so if I want that for supper I have to go to my moms. That is why I think my mom makes the best pancakes and goo losh in the world.

Words That I Like and Do Not Like

I really do not have any words that I like. I use most of them when I am talking but there is not a single one that use over and over. On the other hand, I have many words that I do not like. All of them are swear words. I do not know when swear words came into our everyday talking but it bothers me when I am talking to someone and every other word is a swear word. I do not like repeating them but if I messed up on something then I will use a version of the word. An example would be F*** and I would use fudge or something of that nature. I do not believe we need to be using those kinds of words in our language. To me using swear words just covers up that we do not have a big vocabulary and cannot find any other words. That is why I do not like swear words.

Favorite Story from My Childhood

When I was little I would read the Bernstein Bear book series. I did not have a particular one that was my favorite. I loved them all. Every night at bedtime my mom would come in and tuck me in and read a story. The books that she would always read where the Bernstein Bear book series. To this day I do not know why I loved those books so much. I think it had to do with the fact that I would sleep with a stuffed teddy bear at night. I would literally dream of my teddy being one of the Bernstein Bears kids. They were strange dreams. It was even better when the books came out on movies. I could have watched them for hours. That is why my favorite books from growing up are the Bernstein Bear series.

My next birthday cake

My dad is a professional cake decorator, so next year for my birthday I would like it to be decorated with bunnies on it or hockey. My dad can do a lot with a picture, so if I give him a picture of my rabbit or of hockey, then he will be able to design it on the cake. Of course the cake flavoring has to be strawberry. I do not like any other flavoring. It is ironic considering I have been around cakes my entire life. I do not like a lot of cake. When I do eat it I have to take all the frosting off because I hate frosting. I do like to have my cakes decorated, so that is why for my next birthday, I would like to have it decorated with bunnies or of hockey.

Why you should never

Why you should never text and drive at the same time. It is very dangerous. You need to give your full attention to both, and you can not do that when you are doing them at the same time. Driving takes a lot of work and if you are not paying attention to the road or other cars around you, you can cause an accident. I have seen pictures and heard of stories where the person was texting while driving and got into an accident and killed themselves or someone else. That is why I refuse to drive and text at the same time. I do not like driving so I have to pay attention to the road, and I can not do that when I am texting. That is why I think people should never text and drive at the same time.

Difficult Person

I have learned by experience that the best way to get along with a difficult person is to nice and smile to them. Me and this girl where in the same activities together and we never got along. When I would tell my mom about it she would give me the advise to just smile and go along with what she wanted to do, no matter how much we disagreed. At the beginning it was so hard to just smile and go along because I would want to add my input. After some time, it started to work and she would return the smile or ask for my advice. To this day we are still not best friends but we do get along better. That is why I think the best way for me to deal with a difficult person is to just smile and be nice to them. It shows that you are a bigger person.

The hottest place that I have ever been

The hottest place that I have ever been would be Mexico. I have been there twice and both times they were in the hundreds. I was first there with my high school marching band in May. The band decided to take a cruise to Cozmel Mexico. We left the last day of school. When we got down there it was so hot. I got sun burnt really badly. The second time I was to Cozmel was with my family. My dad decided to take me and my sister on a cruise again to Cozmel. This time we went to Jamaica, Camon Island and Cozmel. Cozmel was the hottest place of the three. We went over Easter vacation, but it was still in the hundreds. I forgot from the first time how hot it was. That is why Cozmel Mexico is the hottest place that I have ever been.

What Gift I Would Like For Valentine's Day

I am a simple person so the gift I would like to get for Valentine’s Day is a simple card. I do not like receiving a hug gift but a simple card still shows that the person is thinking of me. I do not get a lot of mail at my dorm it is nice when I do get something from my grandma or aunt just showing me that they are thinking of me on that day. I know that I am loved and a card is just of reminder of that. My parents are known for giving me and my sister for every little holiday. Sometimes the card has money in it but knowing that they remembered is a nice. They know that I love getting the cards no matter how insignificant the holiday is. That is why I just like getting a card for Valentine’s Day instead of a big present.

What I Learned This Week In the Library

What I learned this week from being in the library. When I am looking for a source from the internet I learned what to look for to be a creatable source. It has to have a author, a date, a rating, and if it is a government issued website. When I started looking for sources for my paper, all I had to do was look for those qualifications. It made looking for creatable sources a lot easier. I did not understand how end note would help me. I understand the process but how to do the references I did not get. Finding the information was easy but putting it in as a references went over my head. I am sure that I will get it eventually but I think that, that part needed to be explained a little more or have more time on that subject.

Experience With Libraries

I have both positive and negative experiences with libraries. When I go to my hometown library, I know where things are and I can find them really easy. I might have one or two questions but the librarians help me out. It seems to me that when I go to some other library that I don’t know then, that’s when I start to have problems. I can never get anyone to help me and the computers are confusing. I have trouble using the computers in my hometown library but after awhile I can figure them out. So I have both good and bad experience with libraries. I like going to them because they are quite and I can find a lot of variety of books.

Pros and Cons to using the Internet

There are pros and cons of using the internet for a research paper. There are many pros to using the internet. You get the information for your topic fast, and you get a lot of information. However, there are many cons to the internet. You have to be careful on what internet sources you use. Some of them are not legit. Someone can just be making up stuff in the basement of their house. So you need to use sources that have .org, or .edu or something that is government protected. Using the websites that end with those are not going to lead you astray. It is helpful if site has a author, contact information and a raking. With using this information you can be sure that the information that you are receiving is the best information.

The One Thing That I Know Most About.

I really know much about rabbits, but I am no expert. I love rabbits so I have read a lot about them. However, I do not know much on what is wrong with them when they get sick. I know that they need to be taken to the doctors. I can look for symptoms when my rabbit is sick. Other than when they are sick, I know a lot about them. Like the fact that they have 360 version but they cannot see right in front of them, that is why they have their head turned when they look at you. They are also very aggressive when it comes to their territory. My rabbit doesn’t like it when I clean out his cage because he likes it the way he had it. He will get very aggressive. He does not bit but he will grunt like a gig at me. It is easy for me to tell what his behavior is because I have read the books but to my sister she does not know. That is why I think I know more about rabbits than any other thing.

The Nicest Thing That Someone Has Ever Said To Me

I played soccer for 12 years. I was on this on the same team for about four years. We were really good; we won all of our game except for one. When we lost the game the couch said “Always imitate the behavior of the winner”. We were down because it was the big championship game that we lost. After our couch said that our spirits picked up. I always remember that because it is just a game. Someone has to win and someone has to lose, but when you lose you should be a good sport about it and be happy for the winning team. That was the nicest thing that our couch could have said. Now whenever the team loses, I always think back to that day when we lost the big game.

Designer Lunch Box

On my designer lunch box I would put rabbits on one side and the other side hockey. I love rabbits so I would put my favorite picture of my bunny. The other side might be difficult. I have two favorite hockey teams, the Musketeers from Sioux City and the Stampede from Sioux Falls. They are rival teams. I originally started out as a Stampede fan but I go to more Muskies games because my cousins are Muskies fans. At first I did not like the Muskies but the more I went to the games the more I became a fan. I have to stay true to my home team, so I cheer for both teams. It is really hard to do that when they play each other. So on my designer lunch box I would have a great action picture of both the teams when they are playing each other.

A Good Food Combination

A surprisingly good food combination is bananas and peanut butter. I like to mix them together on a sandwich. The peanut butter has a creamy texture and when you add the bananas to the mix it adds a smoother texture. The banana and peanut butter mix are a great combination because the peanut butter has a stronger taste than the banana. Don’t you hate it when peanut butter gets stuck on the top of your mouth? Well the bananas help with that. They of course are the smooth one, so they help you swallow. You can have peanut butter and bananas as a snake or as a meal. It is good whenever you eat it. Some of my friends have never heard of the combination before, so I showed them. Now they are hooked. I like to tell people about it because they it is a really good food combination.
